About Us

Founded in September 2014, Evendons Primary School is proud to be Wokingham’s first dedicated STEM primary school placing Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics at the centre of the curriculum.

We believe in educating the whole child. Our curriculum integrates spiritual, moral, aesthetic, physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development into everyday learning. This holistic approach helps children grow into confident, well-rounded individuals.

Pupils are supported to achieve high standards of self-discipline, a strong work ethic, effective social skills and an accomplished intellect. We strongly encourage pupils to be responsible for themselves: for their conduct, their work, their time-keeping, environment and their community.

Involving children in the decision making

In order to instil this sense of responsibility, we regularly engage children in matters relating to the running of the school.

From education to health and safety, from choosing which charities to support, to managing the risks associated with a woodland setting, our pupils are deeply involved in shaping their educational experience.
This is evident in day-to-day conversations, as well as in the formal School Council meetings with their House Leaders: the sense of responsibility and ownership enhances both their character development and academic success.
