Online Safety for Parents

ONLINE SAFETY FOR PARENTS

At Evendons Primary School we take the online safety of our children seriously. OurΒ  On this page you will find several helpful documents with advice on keeping your children safe online, we’d recommend taking a look. If you have any further questions or concerns please contact your child’s class teacher, our Online Safety Lead Fran Hurdle or our Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead Stacey Read.

Montoring and Filtration Systems

At Evendons we use the following systems to ensure our children are safe when they are using computers and are online:

  • The schools firewall and web filtering solution is all provided by LGFL
  • All client machines and servers have Sophos Central Anti Virus installed.
  • The schools email platform is provided by Google which covered by it own internal spam protection platform.
  • The schools backup solution is Arcserve which is provided by Dataspire.

National Online Safety Training for Parents

We are delighted to offer β€˜National Online Safety’ courses for all our families, free of charge, as part of our work with this organisation.

The courses are up-to-date and relevant for all our young people, and indeed for their families, as we work to keep them safe online. As our children grow in understanding and experience of online material, it’s important that our understanding grows alongside theirs so that we each have the knowledge necessary to ensure their experience is positive, safe, and empowering.
