Welcome
Welcome to Evendons Primary School, a state school in Wokingham, Berkshire.
We believe that learning should be inspiring, joyful and rooted in curiosity. Since we opened in September 2014 as Wokingham’s first STEM primary school, our mission has been to nurture children through practical, hands-on experiences that bring Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to life.
We want pupils to be excited about coming to school each day, to ask questions, explore ideas, and grow into confident, thoughtful learners. Our approach is about encouraging that spark of curiosity and guiding it with care, creativity and purpose.
But a truly meaningful education goes beyond academics. We care deeply about the whole child and work holistically, weaving together their emotional, spiritual, moral, social and intellectual development so that each child is supported to flourish in every way.
We also believe that children thrive when they are given a sense of ownership. That’s why we involve them in so many aspects of school life — from the choices we make as a community, to the everyday decisions that shape our environment. Whether it’s selecting charities to support or helping to manage the natural risks of our woodland setting, pupils here learn to take responsibility for themselves and for each other.
It’s a privilege to be part of their journey.
