We are now recruiting a part-time Clerk to Governors for July 2019 start

Working alongside the Governing Body and the Senior Leadership Team at Evendons Primary School, the Clerk to Governors has an important role in ensuring that the governing body and its committees operate effectively, meet their legal requirements and achieves our aim to Nurture each and every child, find unique learning experiences to Inspire and equip our children to Flourish in school and beyond.

Whilst the Clerk is expected to attend all Governing Body meetings, which are normally held in the evenings, administrative hours are flexible and can be either home or school based.

To be successful in the role, you will need to have:-

  • the ability to manage your own time efficiently and prioritise the workload
  • excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • the ability to prepare agendas and take minutes
  • the ability to work effectively as part of a team  

Experience of clerking committees and/or previous experience of working in a school/educational environment is desirable however training and support will be provided.

Salary and Hours:

Salary: Rate of pay is £11.15 per hour inclusive of holiday pay

Hours: Part time; 200 hours per year. Term time only
